The Make-up Addict Tag

The Make-up addict tag

We were tagged by the lovely Jaq at Lazy Days Beauty (you can read her answers here) and we have to say we’re feeling quite guilty at admitting to quite how much make-up we have accumulated and just how deep the cosmetic addiction goes. Not guilty enough to stop us buying more though!

What product do you still keep buying more of despite having plenty in your collection?

Gem: Er. Everything? Lipsticks and palettes are probably the products I find hardest to resist.

Pants: Yeah again – everything, but mostly red lipsticks :oS.

What’s the one product you can’t live without?

Gem: Eyebrow pencil/powder. I think it’s the one thing that makes me look well put together even if I’m having a bad skin day or have bags under my eyes. If I could stretch it to two though I’d definitely throw a good concealer in there!

Pants: I’d have to say eyebrow powder/pencil and gel. Gem and I were discussing this on the way back from the gym yesterday actually. If we had to go without all our makeup, we could definitely survive providing we had good eyebrows.

Favourite makeup brand?

Gem: Benefit, I’m well aware that I can only wear one blusher at a time but that doesn’t mean I don’t need them all!

Pants: Hmm I’m also a massive fan of Benefit, but theBalm is also definitely on par for me.

How big is your makeup collection?

Gem: Far too big.

Pants: Problematic.

And how do you like to store it?

Gem: I have a four drawer dressing table with a three drawer unit next to it that houses things that I don’t reach for very often with acrylic storage on top for my lipsticks and everyday essentials. Then I have a work make-up bag and a gigging day make-up bag and two zebra print hard cosmetics cases. Plus the piles that accumulate all over my office. God it’s just everywhere…

Pants: Well, I have a dressing table next to my bed with one drawer and plenty of items on top, but I also have a Malm unit with the mirror on the top, three little drawers and three big ones. Unfortunately I tend to hoard a lot of my makeup in my craft room where it’s out of sight when I’m yet to review it, so I’d say it pretty much takes over everywhere!

How many items of makeup have you got in your handbag at the moment?

Gem: Six lipsticks, three lip-balms, a concealer and an eyebrow pencil. That wouldn’t be too bad if I didn’t tote a separate make-up bag around with me usually too!

Pants: Hmm not too many actually. My current hand bag has a lipstick, a lipbalm, some headache balm, three hand creams (why!!!!) and a blusher. Although usually I take a little makeup bag with me too so these are just bottom of the bag products.

If you could raid another blogger’s stash, who would it be?

Gem: Lets go right for the big dogs and say Pixiwoo as I’m pretty sure they have everything I’ve ever wanted ever plus an unending stash of Real Technique brushes!

Pants: Hmm this is hard. I might go for Miss Makeup Magpie – her collection seems to range from budget to the more expensive end of the market which gives a nice variety.

How long does your usual makeup routine take and how many products do you use?

Gem: I can do my daytime make-up in about fifteen minutes, but I do like to take a bit longer if I have the time! I use primer, PoreFessional, foundation, concealer, power, blusher, highlighter, brow powder, eye primer, some combination of shades from Naked 3, eye-liner, mascara, lipstick and lipcote so that’s fourteen. Gosh that’s quite a lot isn’t it. Stage make-up can take a lot longer with a much bigger list!

Pants: I guess it depends where I’m going. If I’m just popping out for 5 minutes, then 10 minutes of mascara and eyebrow application will do me. If we are going on stage, I like to spend longer perfecting my base and even longer playing around with my face at the venue. If I’m having a can’t be bothered kind of day, then I generally just moisturise and if I want to make a bit more effort I’ll add in some eyebrow powder and gel, primer, face powder and mascara. Anything over this usually involves concealer, eye primer, highlighter, bronzer (for a little contour), eyeshadow, eyeliner, blusher, lipstick and lipcote if I’m not using a stain oh and makeup setting spray.

Have you ever bought makeup knowing you wouldn’t use it?

Gem: I can’t resist any sort of bargain, so I’ve definitely picked up things I knew I probably wouldn’t use just because it was on offer. This is why I am both poor and drowning in make-up!

Pants: Probably 60% of the time, of which I blame Gemma entirely.

Tag a few other makeup addicts to do the tag!

The Concert Tag

Gem and I enjoying ourselves thoroughly at our last gig – The Aonia “Sunchaser” Launch

It’s been a good few weeks since we’ve been tagged in a post, but Aimee Belle of Aimee Belle Blogs tagged us in this rather unusual concert post, which is right up our street! You can check out her post here.

1. What was your first concert and how old were you?

Pants: When I was very young I remember my mum taking me to “Party In The Park” in Canon Hill after she had won tickets. I vaguely remember seeing A1 before they were A1, Madness and a few others. My first real metal concert was probably Cannibal Corpse and Kataklysm though back when I was around 13 years old.

Gem: I think officially it was Shakin’ Stevens when I was about four, how rock and roll! My first proper gig was Ocean Colour Scene at the Birmingham Academy when I was in my early teens, I remember feeling so grown up going to a proper gig without my parents!

2. What was your best concert?

Pants: Hmm there have been too many. Each special in their own way. From Symphony X on Gemma’s birthday a few years back, where I was surrounded by Symphony X fans who were all singing as loudly as Gem and I (heartwarming stuff) to seeing Behemoth and Evergrey in incredibly intimate venues with about 20 other people before they both became big. We’ve also played some pretty outstanding gigs too of which Thunderstone and Edguy come to mind. So in summary – I can’t pick one.

Gem: I can’t pick just one! Nightwish at Wacken 2013 was definitely one of the most magical experiences of my life along with Manowar’s show at the 02 in Birmingham. I’m also going to throw in every Iron Maiden show ever, Symphony X on my Birthday and getting right to the front for Avantasia and Revamp at Bloodstock.

3. Have you ever been a VIP and met the performer? If so, who?

Pants: Hmm many times – Gem and I were asked to stand in as merch girls at Metalfest in Dudley, which saw us receive lots of free merch and many offers to go to hotel parties with a lot of the bands that were playing – we’ve also played some pretty prestigious gigs which have meant meeting other performers and being classed as a “VIP” – and of course, there was always naked Kiuas (perhaps Gem can explain this one ;o) )

Gem: We’ve had our fair share of AAA passes, but “Naked Kiuas” was probably the most spectacular, yes. We’re friends with their sound engineer and he invited us backstage for a drink (90% vodka, 10% cranberry juice in a pint glass…never drink with anyone from Finland unless you have a liver of steel!) when suddenly the band returned from their showers in various states of undress and took great delight in showing us their “Who has the best underwear” competition. I think it was a toss up between the Iron Man pants and the Kiss boxers! They were very casual and nonchalant about being naked in front of strangers though, must be a European thing!

4. Who would you love to see in concert?

Pants: I would have -loved- to have seen Death in it’s original form but sadly that will never happen … that and Dio which we definitely do not talk about! Besides that I’ve seen pretty much all of my most favorite bands.

Gem: No. We don’t talk about Dio. The only band I would love to see that I havn’t yet (off the top of my head – I’m sure there are some more!) is Ancient Bards.

5. What is your go to outfit for a concert?

Pants: Generally speaking a black denim mini skirt, a band t-shirt, my patch bag, tights or leggings and boots. Sometimes I wear skinny jeans but that’s a rarity.

Gem: Band t-shirt (though never ever the band you are going to see of course!) and some manner of black leggings with boots usually.

6. Last concert you went to?

Pants:  It would have been Bloodstock Open Air but as for the last band of the festival that we saw, I cannot remember. (Oops … wine …)

Gem: The last band that we saw at Bloodstock was Revamp, and then the last few songs of Morgue Orgy!

7. Future concerts?

Pants: Many! We have a few of our own gigs to look forward to – our photographers 50th birthday and another with Birmingham University’s Metal Society (our tour dates are here). Besides those we are planning on heading to Damnation Festival towards the end of the year and perhaps a small trip to Leicester to go and see Orphaned Land too.

Gem: Damnation Festival, Orphaned Land, Sabaton and Behemoth are all in the diary!

8. Which artist/group would you love to meet?

Pants: I’m very lucky to have already met most of the people I’ve wanted to! Obviously I would thrive off being able to kidnap Russell Allen and keep him in the imaginary basement tunnels between mine and Gem’s houses with all the other people we want to keep forever. I’m not convinced that will happen any time soon though.

Gem: I’d love to meet Manowar, but I wouldn’t trust myself not to throw myself at their feet and shout “We’re not worthy” lots… <- * I am not worthy – I have slightly more control over my inner fan girl than Gem ;o)

9. Would you go on stage and sing a duet with your favourite artist?

Pants: Oh definitely! Hmm maybe not a duet though – maybe I’d play bass for them and leave the singing to Gem.

Gem: I fantasise about duetting with Russell Allen or Floor Janson approximately 23409238432904 times a day!

Who do you TAG?

Pants: Ooo tough one – I’m going to tag Simone from Thirty Something OAP, only because I’m nosey and really want to know her answers to some of these questions!

Totally hellbent for heavy metal and all the concerts it comes with!

TMI Tag

July 11, 2014

background-tmi

We had another exciting TAG post from Jenny over at “Jenny’s Beauty Pages“. Check out her TMI post here. Although this was a few weeks ago, my questions had already been answered but Gem has been soaking up time with Roode – her other half – since he is here for the Summer, and has been so tied up with lots of personal things that she hasn’t gotten round to her questions yet. So even though my answers were from a little while back, here they are. I’m hoping that Gem will get round to posting her own up at some point!

1. What are you wearing?

A reversible maxi dress – it’s very warm and stuffy in this office!

2. Ever been in love?

It would seem so and currently might I add.

3. Ever had a terrible breakup?

Well I’ve had a few breakups in my time and although they were all pretty unpleasant, they all needed to happen. Looking back on it now, they weren’t so bad but I would probably disagree with that statement at the time.

4. How tall are you?

A measly 5 foot 3. Having said that, my mother is 4 foot 10 (and three quarters allegedly) so I did pretty well.

5. How much do you weigh?

Significantly less than I did 6 months ago! Once I’ve achieved my weight loss goals, perhaps I’ll share the overall figures, but I’m not brave enough yet.

6. Any tattoos?

Yes quite a few – A dragon and triple moon symbol on my left arm, a sword with some scripture on my right arm. The polish eagle/Behemoth eagle logo on my lower back and a Valknut on my right wrist. Gem and I also have a matching tattoo – some runes and Triquetra on our wrist. The runes spell “T.A.T” which is an abbreviation for “True As Tits”. Some years ago one of our good friends passed away and during a nigh fuelled with beer and metal, the last thing he ever said, whilst picking us up in each arm was; “you two are true as tits”.

7. Any piercings?

A lot less these days than my youth. I have 6 ear piercings and a scaffold, tongue, nose, lip and belly button. I used to have at least 10 piercings in each ear, as well as my nipple twice in  cross. As if I hadn’t learnt my lesson from my last nipple piercing, I had my other one done two years ago or so now, but had to take it out. Probably the most annoying piercing I’ve ever had!

8. OTP?

I don’t understand this? I’m too old. According to Urban Dictionary it means “One True Pairing” but I’m still none the wiser. I clearly don’t spend enough time on the internet … *raises eyebrow*

9. Favourite Show?

Recently, thanks to Gemma’s continuous reminder, I’ve enjoyed Vikings. So that’s probably been my most recent fav show.

10. Favourite bands?

There are many, but to name a few and in no particular order: Evergrey, Carcass, Symphony X, Behemoth, Wintersun, Nevermore – I could go on, really I could.

11. Something you miss?

Being young, carefree and spontaneous – like going to festivals with a backpack and nothing else. Or staying out all night and walking 6 miles to get home because you spent all your money on beer.

12. Favourite song?

Ugh, I can’t pick a song – It would probably be something like The Odyssey by Symphony X or Recreation Day by Evergrey. I can’t really pick though. There are too many songs that mean too many different things and are my favourite in their own unique way.

13. How old are you?

Can I say 21? I know I’m younger than Gem by about two years. In fact, I tell people I’m 21 so often that I genuinely forget how old I am.

14. Zodiac Sign

Aquarius

15. Quality you look for in a partner?

Would die for Metal, calm, friendly and laid back but not in a “I don’t give a crap” kind of way.

16. Favourite Quote?

I don’t actually think I have a favourite quote? There are always quotes where I think – oh that’s good, but I never remember them enough to reuse them. Unless I’m allowed a favourite in-joke quote, in which case a) there are far too many and b) no one would have a clue what I was talking about, in a – you had to be there sort of thing. (“That’s not metal … but my girlfriend’s in the tent”)

17. Favourite Actor?

I don’t have one … no really, I don’t.

18. Favourite Colour?

It’s a tie between Purple and Red.

19. Loud music or soft?

It depends what mood I’m in. But generally speaking, you don’t have to listen to music loudly to enjoy it. Besides, I’d rather listen to some Cryptopsy at half volume to preserve my hearing, so I can continue listening to music without going deaf.

20. Where do you go when you are sad?

I try to avoid being sad. I mean of course it happens, it’s natural, but I’ll either tell myself to man up, keep myself busy or go for a walk with the pooch to clear my head. Think happy thoughts and you will reap the benefit of happy thoughts!

21. How long does it take you to shower?

It depends – if I’m having a quick body shower, we’re talking about 10 minutes (a girl’s gotta exfoliate), if it’s hair washing and shaving day, then we could be talking 20 minutes or more … I have a lot of hair!

22. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

Again it depends. If I’m just going to work, which is my office next door to my bedroom and I’m not likely to see anyone all day, then about 10-15 minutes to slap on my various creams in the hope that someday this will prevent the inevitable incoming of wrinkles and to throw on some clothes. Gym days see me with an extra 5-10 minutes getting ready in the morning so that I can position my “council estate pony tail” correctly and if I’m going out, I might want to allow another 5-10 minutes to slap on some makeup.

23. Ever been in a physical fight?

A few times – it was thoroughly unenjoyable. Someone I thought was my friend when I was in school had a one sided fight with me since I refuse to hit her back, I quickly severed ties with her and I’m pretty sure she ended up in prison. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t like violence, it’s silly and pointless and you just end up getting hurt. I think people who can’t control themselves and end up in physical fights are particularly stupid and I would never in a million years think that inflicting pain upon my family and friends was acceptable.

24. Turn on?

I’m going to pick the obvious long hair here. Well kept long hair might I add. I’m pretty sure that having long hair makes 60% of the population of men better looking.

25. Turn off?

Lack of control over emotions and insecurity. I’m talking, phoning you every 2 seconds to make sure you aren’t with the opposite sex. Starting arguments over silly things and then crying because he thinks you hate him – I have zero time for people like that.

26. The reason I started blogging?

It just kind of happened. I think we both enjoy being creative as well as writing, we both love makeup (maybe a little too much) and we finally decided to just go for it.

27. Fears?

I have a lot of fears – footballs, crossing the road (I got hit by a car when I was 13), spiders and probably germs. There a more, but I’m not about to announce them all on the Internet – you never know if an arch nemesis is reading to plot your demise and I wouldn’t want to give them a hook into my downfall!

28. Last thing that made you cry?

I can’t remember. I try to avoid crying – a few words of comical wisdom from one of my favourite books “The Little Book Of Stress” – “Never Cry – Crying is a sign of weakness – it is far better to bottle up your emotions deep inside of you like a rotting tree stump”. Obviously I’m professionally obligated to tell you that crying is good for releasing your pent up emotions. Unfortunately I like to bury mine and give the illusion that I’m never affected by anythin :oD.

29. Last time you said you love someone?

Probably about half an hour ago to my partner. It’s a phrase we like to use throughout each day :o)

30. Meaning behind your blog name?

I’ll leave this one up to Gem

31. Last book you read?

Bernard Cornwell – Death of Kings. I was late reading this, as usually when  a new book from the Warrior Chronicles comes out I’ve read it in a few days, but I thought this was going to be the last so I savored it.

32. The book you are currently reading?

Bernard Cornwel – The Pagan Lord – Oh yes, the follow up to the previous book I read and full of mighty Viking/Warrior action.

33. Last show you watched?

Orange Is The New Black – after all the hype I watched an episode, which turned into a binge fest and I finished Season 1 & 2 in about a week.

34. Last person you talked to?

That would be Brains (the other half) since he’s sat next to me.

35. The relationship between you and the last person you texted?

My bested friend in the whole world – Gem.

36. Favourite Food?

Hmm there are a fair few – probably Cucumber or Rice. Bit of a difference there, but I bloody love them both.

37. Place you want to visit?

I really want to see the Aurora Borealis. Norway is such a beautiful country, but when I went there in May last year we were way off course to see the Northern Lights. One day though.

38. Last place you were?

Sat in the office and before that showering.

39. Do you have a crush?

Am I allowed to say that Brains is my crush?

40. Last time you kissed someone?

41. The last time you were insulted?

I can’t remember, well I can’t pin point an exact moment. People often insult me to varying degrees but most of that is because I’m such an opinionated mare.

42. Favourite flavour of sweets?

I’m not sure, I’m not overly interested in sweets since most of them contain animal derivatives.

43. What instruments do you play?

Well when I was younger I played Piano, Cello, Violin & Flute. When I got to about 13 I picked up the Guitar and I took up Bass in 2008 or something like that when I got asked to join Dakesis. Oh I also played the recorder :oD.

44. Favourite piece of jewelry?

Despite loving my vast collection of Mjollnir’s my favourite piece is a gold ring with my initials on it. My Nan bought it me when I was about 10 and it hasn’t left my finger since. It has such sentimental value to me that despite my loathing of most gold jewelry, I’d be absolutely gutted if I lost it.

45. Last sport you played?

What is sport? Does like, going to the gym or walking count? I do that regularly – at least once a day.

46. Last song you sang?

Haha it was probably a Xerath song, well I say sang, there is one particular riff that I always get stuck in my head and end up humming throughout the day.

47. Favourite chat up line?

Would you like me to carry your bass? <- True Story <- One of many sexist remarks/chat up attempts I’ve endured

48. Have you ever used it?

No

49. Last time you hung out with anyone?

I hang out with Gem regularly at the gym, but Gem, Roode, Brains, Drums (our drummer Adam), and some of his friends hung out at Glastonbury and Stonehenge last weekend for the Solstice. It was beautiful.

50. Who should answer the questions next?

I’m going to nominate;

Simone from Thirty Something OAP

Jaq from Lazy Days Beauty &

Aimee from Aimee Belle (as she’s tagged us before, so we can return the favour!)

Even if these guys have already done the TMI tag, you should go and check them out anyway :o).

Totally hellbent for eventually getting round to posting a hundred and one questions! (okay 50)

100 Happy Days PT. 2

June 25, 2014

Silly as it sounds, finding something every day that makes me smile even if only for a moment really does help with the ups and downs of life. I’ll admit I skipped a few days purely out of forgetfulness, but this is a challenge I’m determined to see through so I’ve picked back up and set an alarm on my phone to remind me to find something every day!

Here is 11-20 of my #100HappyDays!

100 happy days 11 12

11. One of my favourite things in the world is the simplicity of a good power walk with my best exercise buddies Amie and CJ. I’m a cat person honestly, but I just adore taking CJ for walkies. We went to nearby Cofton Park and did a few KM to burn off all the nervous energy that builds when I know my significant other in en route!

12. And here he is! Roode is now officially here for the summer, though I strongly suspect he is here to fuss over my darling Helena rather than spend time with me sometimes! The two of them are just inseparable and it’s adorable.

100 happy days 13 14

13. One of the best perks of having him here is the amazing vegan delicacies he so masterfully creates. You might have seen Amie and I waxing lyrical about De Vegetarische Slager (Or in English The Vegetarian butcher!) before, it’s a delicious vegan meat substitute that is scarily realistic. It’s currently only available in The Netherlands and I think Belgium, but we order huge bags of it every time Roode comes to England to tide us over till they (hopefully!) start selling it over here.

14. So we know now that it’s all over for the England football team in this World Cup, but I was full of optimism here before the first match. It’s the agony and the ecstasy of World Cup football that I love, and at the very least I can still cheer on the Dutch team (who actually DO stand a chance of winning with the way they are playing!)

100 happy days 15 16

15. Here we are right before Race for Life! We beat our previous time and did a lot more running than walking this time so it was a really big personal achievement for us both!

16. My prize arrived from the lovely Katie at Pretty For Pence! I had a nice stream of luck this week from competitions which made me feel less bad about a spending ban as I still have plenty of shiny treats incoming! You can see the review for the Bourjois Manucure Toppings here!

100 happy days 17 18

17. Sometimes nothing beats a surprise visit from a friend when you’re feeling low. Simon has been like the big brother I never had since before even my teens and I cherish every moment we have together now we are sort-of proper grown-ups who can’t sit around in our PJs all day watching rubbish films and eating pizza.

18. Summer Solstice is one of my favourite events of the year and we celebrate the longest day with a trip down south to Glastonbury, Avebury and Stonehenge. Here we are at the top of Glastonbury Tor in the scorching mid-day heat! Unfortunately we couldn’t stay to greet the sunrise this year as I had to teach in the morning, but we had a great time shopping in the awesome treasure troves of Glastonbury and exploring the gorgeous landscape.

100 happy days 19 20

19. Another competition prize arrived! This time from the lovely Simone at 30 Something OAP. I asked her to pick out the Models Own shade of polish for me and she chose this amazing blue velvet glitter which I adore! She also kindly sent two bonus goodies – an anti-stress mud mask (which I totally need right now!) and some Kleenex shine absorbing sheets which have been doing a great job of keeping me from looking like an oil slick in this heat!

20. I’ve been feeling like I need (another) healthy kickstart so I’ve started juicing. Yes I’m starving and craving carbs like you wouldn’t believe, but absolutely nothing feels healthier than a raw vegan diet. Let’s see how long I can keep it up!

Once again #100HappyDays has done it’s magic and I feel much more positive after this post than I did before it. If you’re interested in starting the #100HappyDays challenge to bring a little burst of positivity you can check out the website here.

Totally Hellbent for the little things making a huge difference.

– Gem

The “Getting to know me” Tag!

April 16, 2014

tag

We were tagged by the lovely @Aimeebelle86 from aimeebelle.weebly.com for 20 quick questions to help you get to know a bit more about us!

We’ve tagged

@secretgirlwants  from www.plumptuouspretty.blogspot.co.uk

@LazyDaysBeauty from www.lazydaysbeauty.com

@Twinkleboots1  from www.twinkleboots.ca

@MishMreow from www.mishmreow.blogspot.co.uk

@CardiganJezebel from www.cardiganjezebel.com

Go follow these lovely ladies on twitter and check out their blogs!

Question 1 ~ Flats or Heels?:

I’d like to say heels but I’m definitely more of a flats girl! Boots, sandals and trainers!

I like to look at heels – does that count? Unfortunately, due to my utter rubbish inner girl, I can’t walk in heels, thus will always opt for the sensible flat, a pair of army boots, flip flops or trainers!

Question 2 ~ What’s Your Fave Nail Polish Brand?:

I can only pick one?! Aghhh! It will have to be a tie between O.P.I and Avon Speed Dry

At the moment (subject to change I’m sure) it’s probably a toss up between O.P.I and Ciaté – I blame the cute bows

Question 3 ~ Top 5 Movies Of All Time?:

Almost Famous, Dogma, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Scarface and The Producers

Oh noes – I’ve always been more of a series fanatic than a movies one but here goes – The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Bulletproof, Wayne’s World, Detroit Rock City and Fight Club (obviously because of the mental health reference!)

Question 4 ~ Fave Male and Female Singer?:

Russell Allan and Floor Janson

Definitely Russell Allen and Tom Englund – as far as female singers go, I’ve never really been a fan of any until Floor Jansen came along, so I’d probably side with Gem on this one.

Question 5 ~ If You Could Take Only 3 Make Up Products To a Desert Island what would they be?:

Concealer, mascara and cream blusher so I can cheat and use it on my lips too!

Compressed Powder, Mascara and some sort of cheek & lip stain (multi-tasking)

Question 6 ~ What’s Your Fave Disney Movie?:

Beauty and the Beast

Since Gemma keeps stealing -all- the good answers – I’m going to mix this up a bit and go for Sleeping Beauty it must be the pink/blue theme they had going on.

Question 7 ~ What’s your Fave High End Make Up Brand?:

Anyone who has been on a night out with me will know that I never shut up about my Dior lipgloss!

I’m going to have to go for Nars – I lust after a lot of their stuff!

Question 8 ~ What’s your Fave Drug Store Make Up Brand?:

Sleek

I guess I’ll be the one that goes for MUA or Collection then!

Question 9 ~ Describe yourself in 5 words?:

Boisterous, noisy, loyal, excitable and optimistic!

Sarcastic, thoughtful, creative, laid back and organised.

Question 10 ~ Shower or Bubblebath?:

I don’t even have a bath! I took mine out to make room for the double shower ;)

Shower – I absolutely loathe baths!

Question 11 ~ Which 3 Products are on your Wishlist that you would love to try?:

I’ve just posted a wishlist here but if I could only pick three it would be

Urban Decay Electric Palette [Link] | Sleek Blush in Rose Gold – [Link] | Sleek Garden Of Eden palette – [Link]

Urban Decay Naked 3 (it’s been on there for a while and I can’ justify -another- nude palette yet), I really want to try out the Sleek Face Form palette for contouring and the Illamasqua “I’m the one” collection – obviously because of all that red!

Question 12 ~ What’s your Fave body cream?:

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter

*Raises an eyebrow in Gemma’s direction* “Get out of my brain!” I’ll choose my second favourite which is The Body Shop’s Honeymania Body Butter.

Question 13 ~ Who Is your Fave Actress and Actor?:

Such a hard choice! Today’s picks can be Meryl Streep and Ian Mckellen

I don’t have one – I’m not going to lie and make some up!

Question 14 ~ Your no1 Female Role Model and Why?:

I’m going to have to fangirl and say Floor Jansen again, she’s a strong and respected female musician in a genre heavily dominated by men who never once lets herself be judged for her sex rather than talent.

My role models include both of my dads, in their own ways they taught me how to behave properly! (BTW they aren’t in a relationship, I was just blessed with an awesome Step-Dad as well as a Dad) but my number 1 role model is definitely Gemma – I have very few female friends, but Gemma taught me how to be confident and love myself and she also showed me that there are other people in the world (i.e her) who put their friends first and foremost and would do absolutely anything to make them happy and share the same morals as me.

Question 15 ~ Who Are Your Top 5 Fashion/Glamour Icons?:

Dita Von Tease, Simone Simmons, Sharon Ehman of Toxic Vision er..this is hard, can I pick Amie?

I really don’t have 5! Definitely Dita Von Teese, Immodesty Blaize and more recently I’ve been obsessing over Floor Jansen’s stage wear for some ideas! If Gemma get’s to pick me, can I also pick her?

Question 16 ~ What’s your Fave Chocolate?:

 Milka Dime!

(Daim to those people born in the noughties!) I have a definite soft spot for Galaxy chocolate – it reminds me of my cousin Lucy who introduced me to it when I was a very small child.

Question 17 ~ Do you wear Fake Tan?, If So, what’s your Fave Brand?:

Never, orange is not for me.

I don’t think I have ever worn fake tan and doubt I ever will – pale all the way!

Question 18 ~ What’s your Fave TV programme at the moment?:

Vikings. I watch it with my long distance boyfriend and it’s driving me mad that I have to wait for my next trip to see him to catch up with the new episodes!

I’m hoping that Vikings will become my new favourite TV programme – I’m not much of a TV enthusiast so I need something to take over my current Game of Thrones watching marathon, which mostly makes me angry having read all of the books and seeing all the plot changes!

Question 19 ~ What’s your Fave Shampoo & Conditioner range?:

I live by Aussie for conditioner but I’ve never much been fussed with my choice of shampoo.

Like Gem, Aussie  is  a regular comer to my Conditioning regime, but I like to mix it up a bit with Trevor Sorbie – I’m not overly fussed with Shampoo since I try and avoid using this often because it ruins my bright red hair!

Question 20 ~ What’s your Fave Deodrant?:

Whatever I happen to have bought, can’t say I’ve found a deodorant to get excited about yet!

It’s usually Sure roll on deodorant since I find it hard to get on with pressurised cans, however one of my Dad’s bought me two Sure spray deodorants at Christmas as part of his “smelly collection” (which I thrive of) and I’ve actually really enjoyed them!
