Free L’Occitane Hand Cream with Marie Claire

October 14, 2014

It’s delicious freebie time and this month you can pick up a free L’Occitane Hand Cream with any copy of Marie Claire. If you’ve not tried any of their hand creams, now is probably the time. They are absolutely gorgeous and leave hands feeling wonderfully soft without the sticky residue of most creams.

This month there will be four to choose from, classic Shea Butter and the limited edition scents: Vanilla Bouquet, Delightful Rose and Zesty Lime each worth an amazing £8. I’ve so far managed to find Vanilla and Rose and after testing our the Zesty Lime, I’m definitely going to be on the hunt for it!

Make sure you keep an eye out for them in your local supermarkets, corner shops and newsagents!

Have you picked any of these up yet? If so, let us know what you think in the comments below.

Totally hellbent for free L’Occitane any day of the week

February Most Wanted

February 7, 2014

As the first month of the year is already over, I guess it’s time to cast my attention (and purse) towards all of the things I’ve been collecting for my most wanted list now that I can almost justify spending a few pennies here and there.

My first pick of the month is the new Sensual Red Cherry Collection from L’Occitane. I’m a sucker for all things cherry-esque as well as being overly fond of the L’Occitane hand creams, I’m just itching to try this out but at £42 for the set (reduced from £64), I’m not sure I can fork out for this just yet. (Beauty boxes take note – all of the samples please!) If your expendible income is a little more forgiving than mine this month you can head over to the L’Occitane website and try this out here.

Moving away from beauty temporarily, the next thing on this month’s list is the new Behemoth album “The Satanist” – usually I’d have pre-ordered this and awaiting it’s arrival eagerly, alas I haven’t been as quick off the mark and have become a metal warrior who has fallen behind. Not to fear though, it’s available to stream through Spotify and due to me rarely leaving the house in my self-employment I’m able to enjoy this album in full – albeit with adverts – to my hearts content until I get my hands on the physical copy. It’s a truly magnificent album and has such a dark aura about it, my favourite track is the last one “O Father O Satan O Sun” – if you would like to partake in some black metulz you can stream Behemoth on spotify or support them by heading over to and buying all of their merchandise.

nars brush

I do not need any more brushes – especially after my birthday haul (post coming soon) – but with my new found love for contouring, but the NARs ITA contour brush looks to be -the- most perfect brush for the job ever! Unfortunately the price is a little out of budget at the moment, but I’m definitely going to keep an eye out for upcoming offers or the very least – something similar from another brand. You can get around on the internet (sadly not currently availably on the NARS UK website) for £55 – however I have found it for just £25.95 here – although having never used this site, I’m not sure of it’s validity.

Hellfest 2014 – What a line up – so many dreams of Gem and I driving to France to sup on wine (perhaps not for me), munch baguettes and listen to metal. I’d worked out how many night shifts I needed to do to get the extra money for two tickets. Unfortunately this sold out the other day, so probably one that is destined to stay on my wishlist. If you want to weep endlessly at the line-up you will be missing out on click here – if you already have tickets – click and smile a smug smile, thinking of those less fortunate than you.

Since my dreams of Hellfest have been smashed to the ground, it now means I can use my saved money towards a caravan, something Gem and I have been talking about for a while, but now we are nearly a quarter of the way through the year, I really need to get my behind in gear if I was to live it up “glamping” style at Wacken this year with a shiny (because of the Manowar gold we are covering it with) waterproof caravan.

I’m in awe of myself for the distinct lack of cosmetic items featured in this month’s most wanted – don’t fear though, I am not a girl converted – just a girl who want’s too many things of which can not be squeezed into such a small post as this.

What non beauty/cosmetic items are on your most wanted list this month?

Totally hellbent for the days where festivals didn’t sell out

L’Occitane Angelica Hydration Cream

January 14, 2014

loccitane moisturiser

I was lucky enough to receive two of these 15ml sized L’Occitane Angelica Hydration Creams, one from a beauty box and the other as a freebie. Having recently finished one of these tubs, I kind of want to stand on top of the roof tops and crazily spread the word! I love discovering new moisturisers, especially ones that don’t irritate my skin, so I was over the moon when this turned out to be one of -the- best I have ever used, and no I am not exaggerating there!

I’ve enjoyed this so much, that I am savoring my second pot and will most likely splash out a little to buy a full sized pot. I used this day and night and it seemed perfect for both. I’ll also be keeping my little pots so I can decant into them for when I travel. I’ve longed for a versatile moisturiser that I can use any time of year, day and night so that when I venture out into the world of festivals and tours I only need to take one tub of cream! Well here it is ladies and gentlemen and when I next run out of moisturiser, this is where I will be heading.

For the full size 50ml version, head over to the L’Occitane UK website here and give them thirty of your shiniest coins (or £30) for beautifully radiant, hydrated and soft skin.

L’Occitane – you are full of winning!

Totally hellbent for my new found love of L’Occitane

Free L’Occitane hand cream with Marie Claire.

October 5, 2013

I did a little squee when I took a look at this month’s magazine freebies. L’Occitane hand creams are my absolute favourite and there were three limited edition fragrances on offer (and the original dry skin hand cream which is the best hand cream ever!)

I went for the “rose tenderness”, but I will keep my eye out for the other two limited options “subtle violet” and “jasmine passion”

They really are the most amazing hand creams, and you get a lot of hydration from only a tiny amount without leaving your hands feeling greasy.

RRP is around £8.00 for 30ml so even if you don’t want to read Marie Clarie you’re getting the hand cream for less than half price at £3.90.

I also discovered three samples inside the magazine if you want a bit more bang for your pennies;

L’Oreal Everriche shampoo – 10ml

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula – 5ml

Viktor & Rolf perfume swatch

Totally hellbent for my favourite brands as freebies!

Free product joys

August 13, 2013

It’s always sad when festival season finishes, however it is made slightly better when you come back to parcels that contain free things!!!

On my return from Wacken, I received my two free products after signing up to Birchbox:

wenloccitaneWen Cleansing Conditioner, which I confess I used during my first shower back at home and it felt amazing! I was also filled with joy at receiving another L’Occitane moisturiser. I already have one of these from a Glossybox a few months ago and have been using it sparingly so I am pleased this has now been replenished.

To make things even better, upon returning from Bloodstock yesterday, I received this through the letterbox:

maybmascaraA free Maybelline “The Rocket Volum’ Express” mascara. This was from a competition I had entered and clearly forgotten about. I have resisted opening it to test it out for now so I am sure this won’t be the last you will be seeing of this!

Totally hellbent for bonus postal goodies
