Nip + Fab Clean Fix Gel Review

June 2, 2014

nipandfab-facial-cleanser

I finished using this facial cleanser a few weeks ago and it has since joined the box of “empties” waiting to be reviewed. After my 3 month love affair with this product (yes it lasted a whole 3 months!), I’m finally ready to ‘come out’ and spill the beans at how much I actually enjoyed using this.

This was actually purchased on my last Nip+Fab haul in September, which you may recall (see my post here) and when purchasing some Dry Leg Fix, I accidentally *cough* purchased the Skin Fix Web Exclusive for £7.99 which included Scrub Fix Facial Polish, Shine Fix mattifying gel (which I gave to Gem), No Needle Fix Serum sample and the Clean Fix Gel.

I’ve been using this as my “in shower” facial cleanser, which usually I only go for exfoliating scrubs whilst I’m in the shower, and the milder cleansers are used in the morning at the sink. Despite it’s lack of exfoliation, I actually really enjoyed using this. It made my skin feel very fresh and clean, the amount of lather was perfect and it didn’t irritate my skin. After using it I felt very “fresh faced”, it also lasted absolutely ages and by the time I’d finished the last of this, I was pretty sad at the prospect of having to remove it from the shower and move onto my next product.

After spending so much time in the shower with this, I’m no longer afraid of stepping outside my comfort zone and going for a more ‘traditional’ cleanser, that doesn’t have the comforting feeling of rubbing sandpaper on my face.

Sadly, after trawling the Nip + Fab website, I couldn’t find this so I wonder if it’s been discontinued or re-branded – (unfortunately in doing this, I have also found at least ten products that I now want to purchase!) however there are a few online sites that are still selling this, Amazon being one of them for £10.00 which you can check out here.

I’m definitely going to be picking up a few more facial products from Nip + Fab. Have you tried any of the Nip + Fab facial products? I’d love to know what you thought in the comments section below.

Totally hellbent for surprisingly amazing facial cleansers

Nip + Fab Viper Venom Eye Fix Review

April 23, 2014

Nip + Fab Viper Venom Eye Fix

I’ve got a lot of love for Nip + Fab, so I picked this up with very high expectations. We all want those wonder products that fix everything and perform miracles, and there are so very many with such extraordinary promises that don’t follow up. This however is not one of them.

The Nip + Fab Viper Venom Eye Fix is a cooling eye treatment in with a roller ball applicator that claims to smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles and target dark circles, now I’m lucky enough not to worry about fine lines (at least not just yet – eek!) but I do suffer from dark circles and tired looking eyes.

Nip and Fab Viper Venom Eye Fix

I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I have to say it really has made a huge difference to my dark circles! I’ve tried a few other roller ball style eye treatments in the past and none of them have come close to the refreshing cooling sensation you get with this. It really does brighten and tighten the area, and the longer I use it the better the results seem to be.

The Nip + Fab Viper Venom Eye Fix is a great fix for the morning after the night before or just for those super early mornings when you need a little pick me up, but personally I’ve started using it almost every day just to keep myself looking bright eyed and bushy tailed no matter how little sleep I’ve had!

Overall another amazing Nip + Fab product to add to the collection, and I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!

I’d be really interested to find out if it works as well on fine lines, has anyone out there seen any results from using this?

The Nip + Fab Viper Venom usually retails for around £14.99 but I’ve found it here on Allbeauty.com for only £5.95!

Totally hellbent for a wonder product that actually works!

Dec Most Wanted

November 28, 2013

I was hoping my Oct/Nov Most Wanted installment would be it until after Christmas. I was so wrong!

Browsing the web and gift magazines has only made my love for all things … well erm … all things … even bigger!

So my Nov/Dec most wanted, is going to be all the things I want, but definitely can not have until well into the New Year.

Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette

Urban Decay

20 Beautiful dark and glittery shades. God I need this. I was so upset when I saw fellow beauty bloggers posting reviews about this. It’s certainly out of my pre-christmas price range, but I am definitely going to think about purchasing this sometime in the New Year.

This beauty is only £37.80 instead of £42 at Debenhams.

Benefit Groovy-Kind-A-Love Gift set

benefit

Even though I already own two of these products, I still want this. I blame the packaging entirely. There is something about Benefit that makes me want to own it all, even though it may not be the right shade or something I would never wear.

Anyway, this beautiful gift box comes with the following:

  • mini the POREfessional
  • mini they’re real!
  • mini benetint
  • dandelion & gimme fever cheek powder duo with brush
  • eyeshadow palette with four neutral shades

This is one of those “should I – or should I not” kind of moments. Torn between spending my money on other mini Benefit products, or buying this simply because I am in love with the packaging.

You can pick this up directly from the Benefit website for only £29.50.

Nip + Fab Body Butter Trio

nipandfabbbt

I squeeled when I saw this hidden in the corner of the Tesco gift magazine. I love NIP + FAB and I love Body Butter, I also love the smell of cherry and spiced apple, so for a set that includes all of these, it surely has to be for me.

As I write this, I am poking Brains repeatedly in the hope that he will get the hint. The set includes: Spiced Apple, Winter Cherry and Sugared Almond. Very festive indeed.

This beautiful trio are only £8.95 from Tesco’s

With all of my funds tied up in the gift of giving this month, I shall have to wait and see what the New Year and the delightful sales bring forth.

Totally hellbent for all the festive shiny things in all of the festive magazines. (For me?)

Nip + Fab Shine Fix

October 23, 2013

Nip + Fab Shine Fix

This was a gift from Amie (along with lots of other lovely things you can see here) as she has the most lovely matte skin ever and I unfortunately have been cursed with an ever-shiny face.

Nip + Fab Shine Fix

I am one with the ways of powder and blotting papers, and have tried quite a few products that claim to be mattifying with varying degrees of results.

The Nip + Fab Shine Fix is labelled as a gel, but it looks and applies much more like a cream. There’s a lovely fresh scent that disappears once rubbed into the skin, and as expected of an anti-shine product it leaves a soft matte finish.

Applied over my usual moisturiser it does take away a lot of the shine, but it really does it’s job underneath my make-up. When combined with a touch of Benefit Porefessional I found that I didn’t need to blot or use powder for hours longer than I usually would.

This is also a great product for touch-ups after make-up application, and I found dabbing a little around the nose area kept me shine-free throughout the day and well into the evening.

Available from Nip + Fab for £4.95

Totally hellbent for a shine free face

Nip + Fab Dry Hand Fix and other lovely treats!

October 17, 2013

IMG_5859

It’s rather handy to have a different skin type to your best friend. I have very greasy skin and Amie very dry so when freebies or bonuses come our way we can have a nice switch-around.

I am now the happy owner of the Nip + Fab Shine Fix, Nip + Fab Dry Hand Fix, Avon Naturals Lilly and Gardenia Body Whip and a little sample of The Body Shop warming mineral mask.

I want to give the Shine Fix a good few days to try out, so I’ll have a review on that sometime next week. The Body Whip is a product we both use a lot, but Amie didn’t like the fragrance of this one so I’m going to swap a cherry one that I ended up with two of.

Amie is going to be reviewing the facemask on Friday, so look out for that. I’m guessing it’s going to come highly recommended!

Nib + Fab Dry hand Cream Pistachio

Which brings us to the Nip + Fab Dry Hand Fix. I’ve been aghast ever since the Pistachio body butter was discontinued, and actually got to the point where I’ve been craving the scent! Amie HATES the smell, but received it as part of a special offer on the Nip + Fab website so yay for me it’s now mine!

It takes a lot for me to be drawn away from my favourite L’Occitane hand creme (which you can currently get for free with Marie Claire!), but today I’ve not reached for it once. In fact I don’t think I will reach for it until I’ve used this all up!

As far as doing it’s actual job, the Dry Hand Fix does exactly what is says. It’s very moisturising but not greasy, absorbs quickly and leaves hands feeling very very soft. For me though it is ALL about the delicious pistachio and almond scent, and though I still miss the body butter this is fulfilling that craving till I can track some down!

Available for £4.50 from Nip + Fab

Totally hellbent for surprise treats!

dry leg skin fix

I recently tried out the Nip + Fab dry leg fix, after bagging some with a magazine.

I love this so much that when it was gone, I had to order some more! At the same time, I accidentally ordered the Skin Fix Web Exclusive Kit for £7.99 not to mention that it was also 20% off too. About two days ago, my order came. Instead of my dry leg fix, I ended up with dry hand fix! Feeling annoyed that the one thing I desperately wanted from the order, was the one they had sent the wrong thing for, I dropped them an e-mail.

dry leg

This morning, the postman came again and delivered yet another shiny black box, which had my dry leg fix in!!! This is the second customer complaint I’ve had this week and the second time it has been resolved completely in my favor, so Nip + Fab, I love you and your speedy rectification of my product purchased!

Looking forward to trying out the Skin Fix Kit too.

Totally hellbent for ending up with more than I  bargained for
